Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

Every day of our lives we face situations and circumstances that demand decisions, and any one of those decisions could set the course of the rest of our lives— maybe even eternity. If we will seek out and accept God’s divine direction, we will soon acquire the habit of making the right choices. Our life will then reflect the results of these decisions. So, how can we obtain the help of God in directing our daily lives?

First, we must lay the matter open before God. The Bible says “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Prov 3:5,6). We should take every matter to God in prayer and discuss the matter with our Heavenly Father. Always remember that God knows everything and sees the whole problem from every angle. We do not have the ability to look into the future, but God knows the end from the beginning and always wants the best for His children. He will help us to make the right choices.

Second we must trust and accept God’s leadership. Many times we are unable to see what God is doing in our lives, because of our limited vision, but we must believe His Word and trust His Holy Spirit to lead us. Sometimes our problems are small and may be solved with a little patience and some good common sense. At other times, we are faced with problems that are too hard for us to cope with. In any and all of our problems we need the help of the eternal God. If we seek Him and trust Him, He surely will direct us in the right path, and His way will always be the best for us.  We must pray that wonderful prayer that David sent up “teach me thy way, O Lord and lead me in a plain path” (Ps 27:11). We should ask and trust that God will close all doors and paths that we need not travel and open up to us that plain path that we must trod.  That way which leads to life, safety and peace and brings glory to God in our walk.

We should always praise God  for His divine direction and give thanks for His help. Jer 10:23 says “it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps”. Without His divine direction, we are like sheep having no shepherd. Jesus is our great shepherd, and He  leads us into green pastures and by the still waters (Ps 23:2). Oh the Way of our precious Savior, it is the good way and let us walk in it.

                 Because of His Grace,
